Are you an experienced administrator who would like to progress your career in a fast paced and genuinely supportive team? Would you like to work for a team where flexible working (including the opportunity to work from home) is encouraged and your wellbeing and personal development are prioritised? If you have a can-do attitude, are passionate about providing excellent customer service experience to our current and future colleagues and are keen to progress a career in HR, we would love to hear from you.

Our Temporary Staffing Team supports the joint venture People Services function for Derbyshire Community Health Service and Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations. Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire. During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.

You will be able to choose to be based at either Kingsway Hospital, Derby or Walton Hospital, Chesterfield, but will be predominantly working from home. You will be required to travel to other bases for meetings as required.

We are looking for a positive, pro-active and professional administrator to join our team. You will work together with different people across both Trusts, building relationships at all levels, in order to understand their temporary staffing needs and requirements and how we can support them in delivering safe, effective patient care. You will use a number of computerised systems (such as the NHS system Electronic Staff Record and the suite of RL Datix (Allocate rostering packages)) to manage and monitor staffing, actively adjusting your workload as needed. Frequent reprioritisation of workload will be required to adjust to competing changes in demand. You will deliver excellent customer service to colleagues across our services, ensuring that all email and telephone enquiries, comments and suggestions are handled appropriately and promptly through a very busy service.

Flexible working, including the opportunity to work from home, is encouraged. Wellbeing and personal development are prioritised.
