Dust Control Environmental Ltd. (DCE) is a Wakefield-based leader in the dust and fume extraction industry, with over 100 years of team experience. DCE specializes in designing, manufacturing, and supplying innovative dust and fume extraction solutions that meet the highest industry standards, providing full turnkey solutions tailored to bespoke customer needs. Our products and services support industries such as Construction, Timber Processing, Renewable Energy, Food & Beverage, and more, ensuring clean and safe work environments. In addition to contracting and installation, DCE provides LEV testing, service packages, and a wide range of spares and consumables, making us a one-stop shop for all dust extraction requirements.
This is a full-time, on-site (or remote) position for a Contracts Engineer based in Wakefield. The Contracts Engineer will oversee the management of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing project specifications
- Liaising with clients and suppliers
- Preparing CAD designs
- Coordinating installations
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Preparing cost estimates and project documentation
- Providing post-installation support to clients as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience in project management, including scheduling, cost estimation, and overseeing implementation
- Technical expertise with engineering tools such as CAD software and experience in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly HSE HSG258 guidelines, with BOHS P601 or P604 certifications preferred
- Strong communication and client liaison skills to coordinate effectively between teams, suppliers, and customers
- Ability to problem-solve and work under tight deadlines to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in the dust and fume extraction or related industrial sectors is advantageous
- A relevant engineering qualification (e.g., mechanical or industrial) is preferred
