Through businesses including Flogas Britain, Certas Energy and our growing Energy Management Services (EMS) platform, we're investing in the people, systems and capabilities that will help shape the future of energy.

As part of this journey, we're delivering Better Together – one of the most significant transformation programmes across DCC Energy Great Britain. The programme is focused on creating a more connected, collaborative and customer-focused organisation by bringing together key functions, systems and processes across the business.

We're now looking for an experienced Project Manager – IT to help drive the successful delivery of a portfolio of technology and business change projects that will play a key role in supporting our future growth.

The role involves:

  • Reporting to the Head of Change Management and working as part of the Better Together programme.
  • Taking ownership of the end-to-end delivery of multiple IT and business change projects.
  • Working closely with business leaders, technology teams and programme stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
  • Managing projects through the full lifecycle, balancing time, cost, quality and scope.
  • Ensuring solutions are effectively embedded into business operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile transformation programme and make a visible impact across one of the UK's leading energy businesses.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of IT and business change projects from initiation through to deployment and handover.
  • Managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks and quality standards.
  • Maintaining robust project governance and ensuring delivery aligns with agreed methodologies and controls.
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, documentation and reporting.
  • Supporting smooth transitions from project delivery into business-as-usual operations.
  • Working with technical teams to support the delivery of practical, scalable and sustainable solutions.
  • Contributing to solution design discussions and technical decision-making.
  • Supporting the alignment of projects with wider technology and architecture strategies.
  • Ensuring data governance, security and compliance requirements are considered throughout delivery.
  • Supporting business stakeholders in developing robust business cases and investment proposals.
  • Monitoring project budgets and providing accurate financial reporting.
  • Tracking project outcomes and benefits realisation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Helping ensure projects deliver measurable value and support programme objectives.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Facilitating workshops, project meetings and decision-making forums.
  • Managing expectations and maintaining stakeholder engagement throughout delivery.
  • Producing clear and concise project updates for senior leadership and governance groups.
  • Communicating project progress, risks and key decisions in a way that is accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Working closely with Business Change and operational teams to support successful adoption of new solutions.
  • Supporting training, communications and engagement activities ahead of project go-live.
  • Helping ensure people, processes and systems are prepared for change.
  • Identifying, assessing and managing project risks and issues.
  • Maintaining project controls and governance documentation.
  • Supporting lessons learned and continuous improvement activities.
  • Looking for opportunities to improve project delivery approaches and ways of working.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience delivering IT and business change projects.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Good technical understanding across technology, applications and data environments.
  • Experience managing project budgets, risks and benefits realisation.
  • Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work across multiple teams and business functions.
  • Experience of working within transformation programmes, complex organisations or multi-site environments would be beneficial.
  • A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, Agile or PMP would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
