DC Thomson are recruiting for a Transport Assistant. We will put you through 1 CPC per year.
- Experience: Experience in deliveries or logistics operations, ideally within a fast-moving, time-sensitive environment.
- Attention to Detail and Accuracy: A methodical approach to sorting, loading, and documentation, ensuring accuracy in all dispatch and delivery processes. Awareness of the importance of record-keeping, safety compliance, and maintaining service reliability.
- Physical and Practical Capability: Comfortable with manual handling tasks and able to lift, move, and stack goods safely. Good awareness of workplace safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a tidy and hazard-free environment.
- Teamwork and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, drivers, and wholesaler staff. Reliable and cooperative team member who contributes positively to shared operational goals.
- Professionalism and Reliability: A responsible and self-motivated individual with a strong sense of pride in their work. Punctual, organised, and committed to delivering high standards of performance and customer service. Subject to random drug and alcohol testing at any time.
