We’re looking for a driven Sales Development Account Manager to join our Commercial team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract through to December 2026. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in accelerating revenue growth across DC Thomson’s portfolio of trusted media brands. You’ll reconnect with lapsed customers, win new business and grow existing accounts, delivering tailored, multi‑channel advertising solutions that create real commercial impact for our clients. This is a fast‑paced, high‑activity sales role where your ability to build relationships, uncover customer needs and convert opportunities into revenue will set you up for success. What you’ll be doing:
- Owning and delivering against weekly and monthly revenue targets
- Re‑engaging lapsed customers and converting them into active accounts
- Generating new business opportunities and building a strong sales pipeline
- Managing a portfolio of customers, driving retention, upsell and cross‑sell opportunities
- Recommending effective multi‑channel advertising solutions across our brand portfolio
- Building trusted relationships that support repeat business and long‑term value
- Conducting high‑volume outbound sales activity (calls and video meetings)
- Maintaining accurate CRM records (HubSpot) to support forecasting and performance
- Collaborating with colleagues to share insight, improve conversion and shape propositions
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a sales, telesales or account management role
- Confident applying structured sales techniques to identify needs, handle objections and close deals
- Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to engage and influence customers
- Comfortable working towards targets in a high‑volume, performance‑driven environment
- Skilled at understanding customer challenges and tailoring solutions to deliver value
- Experience managing or contributing to a sales pipeline and using CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot)
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and compelling messages
- Data‑aware, using insights and performance information to prioritise and improve results
- A collaborative team player who shares learning and supports collective success
