With Kingsway securing a major new contract to print 6 daily and 7 weekly titles for Reach, covering distribution across Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness, we’re gearing up for a new era of growth, opportunity, and pride in the work we deliver. As we prepare to launch production in April 2026, we’re expanding our Production team with people who bring energy, reliability and a passion for high‑quality output. In this role you will work within CTP, Press and Mailroom on heatset & coldest printing operations and maintenance tasks as defined by the Head of Production, Production Manager or Team Leader.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Ability to use initiative and work with minimum supervision
- Confidently makes decisions based on knowledge, experience and best practice
- Take responsibility to see assigned tasks through to completion
- Understand that responsibility for all equipment that they use is theirs
- Flexible in approach to tasks of variable nature and complexity and to identifying priorities
- Team player who puts the needs of colleagues and the department first
- Excellent Communicator who can engage with all levels of staff
- Takes personal responsibility and seeks to continuously improve
- Ensures all work is completed to the agreed standard/quality
- Adheres to H&S regulations & procedures
- Actively resolves issues/incidents, investigating the root causes and taking swift remedial action to reduce likelihood of reoccurrence
- Actively considers the impact of actions to the production environment
- Shows considered decision making when technical expertise is requested
- Proven technical competence in at least one of the following; Mechanical/Electrical, Offset Printing or Print Finishing
- Recognised qualification in at least one technical competence
- Shift Pattern: 4 nights on, 4 nights off (10 hour shifts)
