  • Salary: £200–£300 per day, depending on experience and suitability

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
  • Role Split: Approximately 80% site management / 20% hands-on work

  • Own Vehicle: Not essential, but the successful candidate must be able to travel between different project locations

This is a leadership role where you will be responsible for running multiple residential projects simultaneously, managing trades and subcontractors, ensuring programmes are met, and maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.

The role will involve approximately an 80/20 split between site management and hands-on work, with the majority of your time focused on managing and overseeing projects. You may occasionally be required to work on the tools when necessary to support the project and site team.

The majority of projects will be based in Upminster and Barnet, with additional projects located across London and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate must be able to travel between different project locations as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage between 2-3 live residential construction projects across London.
  • Supervise and coordinate directly employed trades and subcontractors.
  • Plan daily and weekly site activities to ensure projects remain on programme.
  • Read and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
  • Organise materials, plant, deliveries and labour requirements.
  • Carry out quality control inspections throughout each stage of construction.
  • Ensure all work complies with Building Regulations and health & safety legislation.
  • Complete daily site reports, photographs and progress updates.
  • Attend site meetings with clients, architects, building control and project managers.
  • Identify potential delays and resolve site issues before they impact the programme.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and professional site presentation.
  • Ensure all snagging items are completed to a high standard before handover.
  • Support apprentices and junior trades where required.
  • Assist with hands-on site work when required as part of the approximately 80/20 management-to-tools split.
