We are hiring on behalf of our clients, who include leading main contractors, residential builders, and specialist subcontractors working on various construction sites. Because daily requirements can change depending on the project phase, we are looking for reliable, hard-working General Labourers who can support the site team and help keep projects running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (such as carpenters, groundworkers, and bricklayers) by moving materials, preparing tools, and setting up work areas.
- Load, unload, and distribute building materials, fixtures, and deliveries safely across the site.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe site by clearing away debris, sweeping work areas, and managing waste disposal bins.
- Perform basic physical tasks including digging, lifting, moving barriers, and setting up site fencing.
- Maintain a high awareness of site hazards, help keep fire exits and walkways clear, and strictly adhere to all site health and safety guidelines, RAMS, and protective equipment regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Labourer on construction, demolition, or refurbishment sites is preferred.
- CSCS Card
- Health & Safety: A full and thorough understanding of on-site health and safety regulations, including safe manual handling practices, hazard awareness, and the proper, consistent use of PPE.
- Punctual, reliable, physically fit for demanding manual labor, and able to follow clear verbal instructions from site management.
- Possession of your own standard site PPE (Safety boots, hi-vis vest, and hard hat).
