Role Overview:
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will carry out installation, maintenance, and repair work across a range of mechanical systems on-site. You will be part of a wider team delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment
- Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical systems
- Working on pumps, pipework, valves, and associated equipment
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
- Supporting reactive and emergency works when required
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety standards
- Completing risk assessments and following method statements
Requirements:
- Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- Experience in an on-site mechanical engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of pumps, motors, and pipework systems
- CSCS card or equivalent
- Additional tickets (EUSR, IPAF, PASMA, Confined Space, Abrasive Wheels) beneficial but not essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and strong work ethic
