Pay: £16.00£17.00 per hour
Hours: MondayFriday, 7:00am5:00pm
Paid Hours: 9.5 hours per day
Saturday Work: Available
Employment: First 3 months self-employed, then permanent PAYE
We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established client for an experienced 7.5T Delivery Driver to join their busy logistics and delivery team in West London.
The role involves the safe and timely delivery and collection of glass, glazed units, tools and construction materials to various sites. You will also be responsible for loading and unloading materials and assisting with crane operations when required.
Key Responsibilities
Safely deliver and collect glass, glazed units, tools and construction materials.
Load and unload vehicles safely, taking particular care when handling heavy or fragile materials.
Operate a vehicle-mounted crane when required.
Assist with crane lifting and unloading operations.
Ensure deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time.
Plan suitable delivery routes, taking traffic and road conditions into consideration.
Communicate with site teams and fitters regarding delivery schedules.
Check that collected goods and materials are correct and complete.
Carry out daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks.
Report any vehicle defects or mechanical issues promptly.
Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and risk assessments are followed.
Wear and maintain the required PPE.
Assist with stock, consumable and equipment requirements when necessary.
Support the wider logistics team with other reasonable duties as required.
Essential Requirements
Candidates MUST have:
Full UK Driving Licence with Category C1 entitlement
Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card (DQC)
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
Previous commercial driving or delivery experience.
Good knowledge of UK roads and safe driving practices.
Ability to carry out manual handling duties safely.
Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules. xiskglj
