About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Drainage Engineer to join our team and take responsibility for complex commercial plumbing and drainage projects. This is a senior, hands-on position suited to a highly skilled Lead Drainage Engineer with extensive experience working in commercial environments, particularly hospitality or similar sectors. As a Lead Drainage Engineer, you will act as the technical lead, managing projects from initial assessment through to completion while providing expert advice, practical solutions and technical support across the business. We are looking for a Lead Drainage Engineer who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and can confidently manage complex plumbing and drainage requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex commercial plumbing and drainage projects from assessment through to completion.
  • Provide technical expertise and support across plumbing and drainage works.
  • Carry out accurate site surveys, quotations and project planning.
  • Produce detailed reports, recommendations and quotations.
  • Work closely with the office team to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Take full ownership of projects and ensure work is completed to a high standard.
  • Review existing plumbing and drainage systems and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently and professionally.
  • Lead by example and support other engineers when required.
