Assembly Technician β Windows & Doors Location: North Acton Salary: Β£14.00 β Β£18.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience) Job Type: Full-time Job Overview On behalf of one of our established clients, we are seeking an experienced and reliable Assembly Technician to join their production team in North Acton . The successful Assembly Technician will be responsible for the assembly and fabrication of windows and doors , ensuring all products are assembled accurately and to the required quality standards. The role involves using hand and power tools, working from technical drawings, applying silicone and gaskets, and carrying out quality checks on completed window and door assemblies . You will be expected to work independently while also supporting other members of the windows and doors assembly team. Main Duties and Responsibilities Windows & Doors Assembly Assemble windows and doors using hand tools and power tools in accordance with technical drawings and specifications. Carry out accurate assembly of window and door components , ensuring products meet required standards. Apply silicone, gaskets and other materials correctly during the window and door assembly process. Assemble different types of windows and doors efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. Assist with fabrication and preparation of window and door assemblies as required. Technical Drawings Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications for windows, doors and assembly requirements. Follow measurements, dimensions and assembly instructions accurately. Ensure each window and door assembly is completed in line with production specifications. Quality Control Inspect completed windows and doors for defects, damage or incorrect assembly. Identify and report faults or issues during the assembly process . Carry out final checks before signing off completed window and door panels . Maintain a strong focus on quality throughout the assembly of windows and doors . Independent Work & Team Support Complete window and door assembly tasks with minimal supervision. Manage workload effectively to meet production targets and deadlines. Support and guide less experienced team members with assembly, windows and doors . Assist colleagues with troubleshooting and resolving assembly issues. Forklift & Materials Assist with loading and unloading window and door materials using a forklift. Safely move materials and completed window and door assemblies around the factory. Valid forklift certification is required. Health & Safety Follow all company Health & Safety procedures during window and door assembly . Maintain a clean, organised and safe assembly area. Use PPE correctly and follow safe manual handling procedures when lifting and moving windows, doors and materials . Documentation Sign off completed window and door panels once they have passed quality checks. Maintain accurate records of completed assembly work . Report any production, quality or assembly issues to the Production Manager. Other Duties Carry out additional assembly, windows and doors related duties as required by the Production Manager. Skills & Qualifications β Essential Proven experience using hand tools and power tools . Previous experience in assembly, fabrication or manufacturing , ideally involving windows and doors . Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications . Good understanding of window and door assembly processes . Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to safely lift and handle materials. Valid forklift certification. Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
