We are currently hiring an experienced Metal Fabricator to join a busy and well-established steelwork and fabrication company based in the SS3 area. This is a permanent opportunity for someone with a strong fabrication background who is confident working on a wide range of structural and architectural metalwork projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Fabricating and assembling structural steelwork and architectural metalwork
- Working from technical drawings and fabrication diagrams
- MIG/TIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel
- Manufacturing and fitting:
- Steel beams
- Balustrades
- Staircases
- Handrails
- General bespoke metalwork
- Measuring, cutting, drilling, grinding, and finishing materials
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines
- Following health & safety procedures on site and in the workshop
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in metal fabrication
- Strong MIG/TIG welding experience
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience working with structural steel or architectural metalwork
- Good attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Full UK working rights
