We are currently hiring an experienced Metal Fabricator to join a busy and well-established steelwork and fabrication company based in the SS3 area. This is a permanent opportunity for someone with a strong fabrication background who is confident working on a wide range of structural and architectural metalwork projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Fabricating and assembling structural steelwork and architectural metalwork
  • Working from technical drawings and fabrication diagrams
  • MIG/TIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel
  • Manufacturing and fitting:
    • Steel beams
    • Balustrades
    • Staircases
    • Handrails
    • General bespoke metalwork
  • Measuring, cutting, drilling, grinding, and finishing materials
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines
  • Following health & safety procedures on site and in the workshop

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in metal fabrication
  • Strong MIG/TIG welding experience
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Experience working with structural steel or architectural metalwork
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Full UK working rights
