We're recruiting on behalf of a small, well-established family-run business that specialises in delivering drainage services to high-end hotels, restaurants, theatres, offices, and other commercial properties—with occasional residential work. They pride themselves on professionalism, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Due to growth, they are looking to hire experienced Drainage Engineers to join their close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend reactive drainage call-outs and conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
  • Deliver a high standard of workmanship and excellent customer service.
  • Typical tasks include:
    • Unblocking and descaling drains
    • CCTV drainage inspections and reporting
    • High-pressure water jetting and mechanical cleaning
    • Pipe repairs/replacements
    • Tap and manhole cover replacements
  • Compile detailed reports on findings and work completed.
  • Use company-supplied professional-grade tools and equipment (CCTV, jetting, mechanical cleaners).
  • Take part in an on-call rota (1 in every 2 weeks) to support 24/7 service availability.
  • No fixed hours of work, but general working hours are typically between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
Candidate Requirements
  • Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
  • At least 3+ years' experience in drainage and 3+ years in basic plumbing.
  • Experience in groundwork or general maintenance is a plus.
  • Ideally hold certifications such as CSCS, HPWJ, confined space, or similar.
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and communicate clearly.
  • Experience with CCTV drain surveys and preparing detailed reports.
  • Professional appearance and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Comfortable working flexible hours and being part of an on-call rota.
