Pay: £45,000.00 - £60,000.00 per year Job description: DC Solutions – NW11, London £45,000–£60,000 per year DOE | Permanent DC Solutions is looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team in NW11. This is a site-based Estimator position, with the Estimator spending most of their time visiting projects, assessing works, taking measurements and preparing accurate estimates for building and refurbishment works. The successful Estimator will work closely with site teams, management and accounts to ensure each job is accurately estimated, priced and cost-controlled. Responsibilities * Take measurements and prepare quantities for the Estimator's costings. * Prepare accurate estimates and quotations. * Calculate labour, materials and subcontractor costs. * Review drawings, specifications and scopes of work. * Price variations and additional works. * Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, margins and mark-ups. * Monitor estimated and actual costs. * Work closely with site teams, management and accounts. * Provide Estimator support throughout the project. * Review additional works and update estimates where required. Requirements * Previous experience working as an Estimator in construction, building or refurbishment. * Strong knowledge of construction and refurbishment costs. * Experience as an Estimator pricing labour, materials and subcontractor works. * Good understanding of construction methods and site operations. * Strong Excel and numerical skills. * Excellent attention to detail. * Good communication and organisational skills. * Ability to work independently as an Estimator. * Full UK driving licence is essential. About the Estimator Role The Estimator will be responsible for understanding the work required on site and producing accurate and realistic costs. This Estimator role is suited to someone with practical construction knowledge who is comfortable visiting sites, speaking with trades and site teams, measuring works and preparing estimates. The Estimator will focus on estimating, costing, variations and job profitability. The Estimator will also support accounts and management with accurate project cost information. This is a site-based Estimator role, rather than a purely office-based estimating position.
