We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor on behalf of our clients, with long-term projects based in Edmonton.

Role Overview

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will oversee planned project works and maintenance programmes, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will lead site teams, provide technical support, and act as a key link between operatives, management, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise on-site mechanical works and day-to-day operations
  • Carry out dynamic risk assessments and identify health & safety hazards
  • Mechanical fault finding and problem solving
  • Oversee and support mechanical installations
  • Plan daily works and allocate appropriate resources
  • Provide technical guidance to site operatives
  • Liaise with clients and project managers regarding access and planning
  • Conduct site inspections and maintain accurate site records/diaries
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed and incidents are reported
  • Carry out site surveys and attend client meetings
  • Manage stock levels of materials and consumables

Requirements

  • Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
  • Strong experience within an on-site mechanical engineering environment
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Good working knowledge of pumps, motors, pipework, and related systems
  • CSCS card or equivalent
  • Additional certifications (EUSR, IPAF, PASMA, Confined Space, Abrasive Wheels) beneficial but not essential
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to perform under pressure
