We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable HGV Class C1 Driver to join an established logistics and transport company. This is an excellent opportunity for a Class C1 Driver, HGV C1 Driver or experienced Delivery Driver looking for ongoing work around Guildford, Crawley and surrounding areas.
As an HGV Class C1 Driver, you will be responsible for driving a C1 vehicle and completing daily pallet deliveries to customers and businesses. The successful C1 Driver will typically complete around 10 deliveries per day, ensuring all pallets are delivered safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as an experienced HGV Class C1 Driver.
- Safely operate a Class C1 vehicle.
- Complete daily pallet deliveries across Guildford, Crawley and surrounding areas.
- Complete approximately 10 drops per day.
- Load and unload pallets safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time.
- Follow delivery schedules and planned routes.
- Complete delivery paperwork and obtain proof of delivery where required.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
- Report any vehicle defects or issues promptly.
- Follow all road safety and Health & Safety procedures.
- Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with customers and clients.
- Represent the company professionally as a C1 Driver.
- Work independently while maintaining communication with the transport team.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class C1 Driving Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC / DQC.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class C1 Driver or HGV driving experience.
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver is preferred.
- Experience with pallet deliveries is advantageous.
- Good knowledge of UK roads.
- Reliable and punctual approach to work.
- Good attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to complete multiple deliveries throughout the day.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Available for ongoing C1 Driver work.
