DC Solutions Services is seeking a Contracts Manager for one of our prestigious clients in the plumbing and heating sector. This role is ideal for a highly experienced professional who has a hands-on background in plumbing and heating and has progressed into project management.
About the Role:
The primary duties of the Contracts Manager include:
- Managing multiple plumbing and heating projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Overseeing project variations and ensuring cost control.
- Conducting checks and site visits when necessary to monitor progress and compliance.
- Ensuring all projects meet the highest standards and industry regulations.
- Coordinating with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Managing and supporting on-site engineers to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Conducting site visits, inspections, and progress reports.
- Handling project documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Maintaining compliance with health & safety regulations.
This role is predominantly office-based, with site visits as required. There is no business development involved – the focus is purely on project management and delivery. Project values range from £80,000 to £1 million.
Ideal Candidate:
- Extensive hands-on experience in plumbing and heating, ideally progressing from a plumber, technician, or mechanical assistant into project management.
- Strong knowledge of high-end residential and commercial installations, including plant rooms.
- Strong understanding of industry regulations and health & safety requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.
- Commercial gas experience is required.
