Our client is one of the South East's most established and respected residential developers, delivering award-winning developments across London, Essex and the surrounding counties.

Due to continued growth and an expanding development pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Senior Site Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team based in Takeley, Essex.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will take full commercial responsibility for multiple residential developments from pre-construction through to final account.

You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered within budget whilst maintaining commercial performance and supporting the operational teams throughout the construction lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to join a financially secure developer delivering a diverse portfolio of high-quality residential schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full commercial management of multiple residential developments.
  • Preparation, monitoring and management of project budgets.
  • Procurement of subcontractors and supplier packages.
  • Tender analysis, negotiation and contract award.
  • Preparation of cost plans, valuations and financial reports.
  • Monthly cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow management.
  • Cost value reconciliation and reporting.
  • Liaison with Construction, Technical, Land, Sales and Finance departments.
  • Management of variations and contractual changes.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual obligations and industry regulations.
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within UK residential housebuilding.
  • Strong knowledge of JCT forms of contract.
  • Experience managing multiple live developments simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage project costs from inception through to final account.
  • Degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
