DC Personnel are recruiting for a reliable and proactive Warehouse & Stock Controller for our client in Northants, Corby. This vital role supports our Factory Manager and wider production team by ensuring everything flows efficiently behind the scenes accurately, safely and on time. Working for a leading retail display business your key responsibilities will include:
- Goods Inward
- Receive and unload deliveries. Maintain and monitor daily delivery schedules, flagging discrepancies quickly.
- Label all deliveries with correct job references, using technical drawings for identification.
- Confirm acceptance of printed or custom items with internal approvers before moving to stock.
- Keep the PO log up to date and raise any unidentified or unexpected deliveries promptly.
- Issue materials to active jobs based on planning instructions.
- Keep real-time, accurate stock records including usage & returns.
- Help the Factory Manager with stock checks for projects and consumables.
- Take part in monthly stocktakes and ensure all records are fully up to date.
- Pick and pack items for orders while maintaining accurate stock movements.
- Generate labels and prepare dispatch documentation with correct weights and dimensions.
- Wrap and label pallets to a high standard, ensuring readiness for shipment.
- Own the dispatch process for production, supporting UPS collection improvements.
- Monitor and maintain stock of dispatch consumables such as wrap, labels & pallets.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised warehouse, yard, and storage areas.
- Manage waste streams and arrange collections with suppliers as needed.
- Conduct regular forklift safety checks and ensure safe, compliant operation.
- Assist with light factory maintenance and safe lifting tasks as needed.
Requirements for the role:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence is Essential
- Full, clean UK Driver's Licence is Essential
- A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and initiative
