DC Personnel are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Team Leader to join a busy manufacturing and packaging operation.
Location: Leicester
Contract: Permanent role
Hours: 37 hours per week. Monday - Thursday: 13:30 - 22:00 & Friday: 12:00 - 17:00
Salary: Β£30,000 - Β£35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Shift Allowance: Β£70 per week (paid in addition to base salary)
Overview of the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and supervision of production and packaging activities within a regulated manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong knowledge of compliance standards, team management skills, and the ability to coordinate production activities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the manufacture and packaging of licensed products using dedicated production equipment
- Oversee the use and operation of production vessels and equipment
- Review and complete batch records to a high standard
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of operators (up to 8 staff)
- Coordinate and deliver staff training and development
- Generate, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Coordinate production activities and liaise with support functions including materials management, engineering, and quality teams
- Manage team performance, including appraisals, mentoring, and feedback
What you will have
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (GMP or similar)
- Proven line management or supervisory experience
- Ability to work on own initiative and escalates issues as appropriate
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident, organised, and capable of leading a small production team
