We’re looking for a commercially aware and intellectually curious Senior Research Analyst to join DC Byte and play a key role in delivering insight across the global data centre market.
As a client‑facing analyst you’ll combine market research, fieldwork, networking and analysis to help shape how we communicate insight to some of the most influential players in digital infrastructure. You’ll work closely with clients, industry stakeholders and internal teams to produce high‑quality research, market commentary, presentations and commercially relevant insights. From early on you’ll be encouraged to take ownership of your work, contribute ideas, build industry relationships and represent DC Byte externally across the market. Your work will have a direct impact on real‑world, multi‑billion‑dollar investment, development and strategy decisions worldwide. The role may involve travel across EMEA to support research, client engagement, conferences and industry events.
Responsibilities
- Research and track activity, trends and key players across global data centre markets.
- Gather, validate and analyse market intelligence from primary and secondary sources.
- Build relationships across the data centre ecosystem, including operators, developers, investors, brokers and suppliers.
- Conduct fieldwork through calls, meetings, events, site visits and industry networking.
- Translate research findings into clear, structured, commercially relevant insights.
- Support the production of client deliverables including reports, presentations, briefing notes and consulting work.
- Contribute to client calls, presentations and market discussions.
- Monitor industry developments to keep research and insight timely and relevant.
- Support marketing and thought‑leadership activity through articles, commentary, presentations and industry content.
- Represent DC Byte at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities where appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with Research, Commercial, Product and Marketing teams on ongoing initiatives and special projects.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the data centre ecosystem, digital infrastructure or related markets.
- Commercial awareness and curiosity about how infrastructure, investment and technology markets operate.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to interpret complex or incomplete information.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Confidence engaging with clients, industry participants and senior stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, high‑quality work.
- Self‑driven with the ability to manage priorities and take ownership of deliverables.
- Resilient and persistent when gathering difficult‑to‑obtain information or working in fast‑moving environments.
- Comfortable presenting findings and contributing to client discussions.
- Experience within research, consulting, infrastructure, real estate, telecoms, technology, energy or related sectors.
- Experience producing reports, presentations, market analysis or client‑facing deliverables.
- Existing exposure to the data centre industry, commercial real estate or digital infrastructure markets is beneficial.
- Experience attending industry events, networking or supporting external market engagement.
- Additional European language skills would be advantageous.
