We deliver accurate, real-time, and unbiased insights into colocation and self-build enterprise assets worldwide, supporting developers, investors, and operators, including the world’s largest hyperscalers.

We are seeking a world-class Research Analyst to help drive our next phase of international growth and innovation.

Job Summary: We’re looking for a curious, driven, and detail-oriented Research Analyst to join our research team. In this role, you’ll develop expertise in the global data centre industry by supporting market analysis, conducting research, and contributing to our industry-leading platform. You’ll work closely with senior analysts, sales, account management, and product teams to build your knowledge of key markets and develop the skills needed to produce high-quality insights for clients.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate who’s eager to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

About you: You’re a proactive and intellectually curious individual who enjoys digging into data and understanding how markets work. You thrive when learning new concepts and take initiative to deepen your knowledge. You’re warm and approachable, comfortable holding conversations with anyone you meet. You’re happy to give networking a go. You’re comfortable working independently but love being part of a team and collaborating to deliver great results. You’re open to feedback, motivated to improve, and excited by the opportunity to represent our business externally with professionalism and energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management and Quality Assurance: Maintain and update market datasets, ensuring data accuracy and consistency; monitor industry news and verify information from multiple sources; keep property and company data current weekly and document all research within the platform; log research communications in HubSpot and inform CSMs of any client requests.
  • Client Management: Prepare and deliver presentations on your markets, highlighting key trends and insights; respond promptly to client inquiries; support Senior Analysts in producing consultancy reports and managing relevant projects.
  • Industry Participation: Assist in market inspections, site visits, and stakeholder meetings with senior guidance; build and maintain a professional network, focusing on medium-level operators; support marketing projects and build your LinkedIn presence with regular posts following company guidelines; participate in industry events and conferences to expand your knowledge and contacts.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field - many of our current analysts studied social sciences, but we believe you can be successful in this role with any degree that honed your research and data presentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with data and developing familiarity with tools like Excel.
  • Proficiency in another European language is not a requirement, but beneficial.
  • An interest in digital infrastructure, real estate, or technology sectors is a plus.
  • No previous experience in the data centre industry is required—just curiosity and drive to learn.

Working at DC Byte:

  • Hybrid working: We are in the office Tuesday - Thursday, working from home on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Globally spread: With offices around the globe – London, Singapore, Sofia, and the US – our teams collaborate across time zones.
  • High autonomy, low ego: In a small team, everyone’s input counts. Own your impact, but remember that collaboration is what gets us to our goals.
  • Pride of pace: A common phrase you’ll hear at DC Byte: Can we do this faster? Don’t be afraid to use it yourself.
  • Taking time off seriously: We do our best work when we take our time off just as seriously – we’re not always on, offer a generous annual leave allowance, and close the office between Christmas and New Year.

Benefits:

  • Salary: £30,000 per year.
  • 25 days annual leave (excl. bank holidays), increasing to up to 29 days.
  • Christmas Week closure.
  • Private health insurance with Vitality.
  • Generous anniversary rewards, incl. access to career coaching, vouchers for days out, and a holiday stipend.
