This role suits an individual with some experience or strong interest in the lighting industry, specifically with Moving Light equipment. The role requires attention to detail, commitment to learning, and good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with colleagues. Proven knowledge of electrical and electronic devices is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.

This role is part of the Technical Workshops team within Warehouse Operations. All Moving Light Technicians work within our common operational frameworks while applying specialist technical knowledge in their area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow documented procedures, work instructions and quality systems at all times
  • Ensure equipment is prepared and serviced to d&b quality standards within required timescales
  • Perform preparation, basic maintenance, and learn repair skills on Moving Light equipment under supervision
  • Participate in 3S activities and maintain visual workplace standards including equipment status boards and work area organization
  • Identify and escalate process improvements, safety concerns, or equipment compliance issues immediately
  • Support general workshop duties including loading/unloading vehicles, tidying, manufacture of custom equipment
  • Work collaboratively with technical services team and other d&b teams
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers
  • Support other technical workshop areas as operationally required, receiving appropriate training
  • Participate in daily team briefings and contribute ideas to problem-solving activities
  • Ensure Health and Safety Guidelines are adhered to at all times, including awareness of equipment safety markings and inspection requirements
  • Follow correct procedures and policies laid out in the staff handbook
  • Maintain d&b solutions confidentiality at all times
Technical Skills
  • Some experience with or strong interest in lighting equipment
  • Developing knowledge of Moving Lights and associated control equipment
  • Basic electrical understanding
  • IT skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, and Outlook
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and work instructions
  • Willingness to learn fault-finding and repair techniques
