With over 170 employees, DBS London continues to grow and expand, offering a wide range of products and services through our teams in Institutional Banking Group, Global Transactions Services, Global Financial Markets, and Wealth Management.

The Private Banking team at DBS London offers a wide range of products and services covering portfolio management, capital markets, managed investments, wealth planning solutions, investment finance and real estate financing – all booked with DBS Singapore.

We are looking for an experienced Relationship Manager who will build, maintain and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) client relationships within Private Banking across the UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia by providing comprehensive, tailored wealth management solutions, acting as a trusted advisor and contributing to the Bank’s revenue growth while adhering to all regulatory and internal compliance standards.

Please note this is a certified role within the Senior Manager & Certification Regime (SMCR) and therefore you must be deemed Fit & Proper to perform the role before you join and on an annual basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management & Business Development:
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with UK and Western Europe-based HNW/UHNW clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor, understanding clients' personal, business and intergenerational wealth needs.
  • Proactively identify opportunities across investments, lending, deposits, structured products, discretionary mandates and wealth planning (within the Bank’s operating framework).
  • Conduct regular client reviews covering portfolio performance, risk profile and evolving objectives.
  • Build a strong pipeline of prospective clients through networking, referrals and targeted market coverage.
  • Represent the Bank at relevant industry, client and professional networking events within the UK and Western Europe.
  • Risk Management & Compliance:
    • Perform thorough due diligence on new and existing clients, identifying and clearly articulating financial crime, reputational and conduct risks.
    • Ensure full compliance with AML, KYC, FCA Conduct of Business, MiFID II and internal governance standards.
    • Maintain complete, accurate and timely client documentation and records.
    • Escalate risks, red flags and/or client issues promptly to the Sales Team Lead and relevant control functions.
    • Ensure a robust audit trail for all client communications and decisions.
  • Team Collaboration & Administration:
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders including Credit, Product, Investment Advisory, Legal, Compliance and Operations teams.
    • Oversee client administration and service delivery, supported by Assistant Relationship Managers where applicable.
    • Complete all mandatory regulatory, compliance and professional training within required timelines.
    • Maintain continuous professional development (CPD) and hold a valid Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) at all times.
    What We’re Looking For
    • Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Private Banking, Wealth Management or a closely related financial services role.
    • Expertise: Deep understanding of investment products, credit solutions and private banking services. Proven track record of managing and growing UK and/or Western Europe HNW/UHNW client portfolios. Demonstrated success in direct client acquisition and revenue generation.
    • Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with sophisticated clients, high standards of professionalism, ability to perform in a target-driven environment, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of UK and European regulatory frameworks i.e. FCA, MiFID II, AML/KYC.
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Qualifications: Must hold RDR Level 4 or equivalent as well as a current and valid Statement of Professional Standing (SPS). Additional professional qualifications (e.g. CFA) are an advantage.
    • Right to Work: You must have the right to work in the UK and do not require sponsorship now or in the future.
