Our client is now one of only four major paper and board merchants left in the UK. Their massive emphasis on customer service sets out to provide a refreshing alternative to their competitors. They sell to customers who value high levels of stock, service excellence, independence of ownership and spirit, and upbeat attitudes. Their aim is to provide consistency of performance and value for money in all they do, with a highly personal touch. This is a direct permanent position.
About the Job
The client is looking for a positive and energetic person who pays attention to detail, to work in the Warehouse Operation. The ideal candidate will have significant knowledge of the warehouse function with proven supervisory experience. You should have a desire to exceed expectations on service and delivery. This is an excellent development opportunity for the right person. You will be supervising a small team.
Experience, Skills and Abilities
- A person with good understanding of Warehouse operation
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisory role
- Knowledge of Health & Safety
- The ability to manage a small team
- Pick and load local lorries for morning runs
- Check and load night trunker that run through the night
- Previous experience of computer skills
- Keeping Warehouse clean and tidy
- Daily stock checks
- General warehouse maintenance and upkeep
