DBR Group, acting as Recruitment Business, are recruiting for Machine Setter / Operator for our very well established and renowned client based in Little Hulton, Manchester. Our client was founded in 2018 and was the first Company to produce Paper Straws in the UK. They are now part of the largest producer of Fibre Based Products, including all types of Drinking Straws, in Europe. As part of their continuous drive to innovate, they are investing in new production equipment from Europe as well as launching a wide range of Fibre Based Products.
About the Job
Working for a very well-established growing company in Little Hulton, Manchester, you will be working as a Machine Setter / Operator for an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced candidate with a background in machine setting and operating within a production environment. This is a temporary to permanent position following a successful training period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate production machinery to required specifications
- Install and adjust tooling for efficient machine performance
- Work on tube line machinery producing paper tubes and wrapping
- Ensure consistent quality and output targets are achieved
- Carry out basic fault finding and routine maintenance
- Bear and wire replacement. Setting adjustments to ensure smooth continuous operation
- Build operator knowledge to maximise efficiency
- Follow all health & safety procedures at all times
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Machine Setter / Machine Operator and basic maintenance / engineering knowledge
- Experience working with tooling and production machinery
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to early shifts
- Speaking Polish would be advantageous
- Record keeping
Hours:
Monday to Friday - 2 pm to 10 pm
Training to be completed for 12 weeks 9 am to 5 pm
Remuneration:
£13.70 per hour (reviewed after training) 12 weeks
