DBR Group, acting as a Recruitment Business, are recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to work at our client who are a household name in the Driving Industry, in Ashton under Lyne, Manchester. Our client is home of UN approved and food grade plastic, glass and tinplate packaging. They supply to successful businesses in a wide range of industries, including those in the catering, construction, chemical, solvent, lubricant, resin, paint, agricultural, janitorial and toiletry trades and have over 75 years of packaging experience. They pride themselves in outstanding customer service. In addition to this, they have their own distribution fleet, enabling them to deliver their goods securely, as and when they are required. This role is a temporary position.
Duties:
- Operate a Class 1 vehicle safely and efficiently
- Delivery of consumables to schools which are palletised
- Handball will be involved
- Up to 10 drops
- Adhere to all road traffic laws and regulations
- Excellent tacho knowledge ref sound manual entry and driving hours compliance
Requirements:
- Current CPC Licence
- Current Digital Tachograph Licence
- An effective team member who works well on their own initiative
- Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and extremely reliable
- Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
Hours: Days - Monday to Friday (4am/5am starts)
Remuneration: £16.00 to £24.00 per hour
