Working for a very well-established company in the heart of Trafford Park, Manchester. They provide International Freight & Global Logistics Solutions to importers, exporters and third-party logistics companies alike. They have been operational since January 2007. Since then, their services have been further enhanced, and their productivity has increased. This job role is a direct permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Route Planning & Logistics: Scheduling, filling and planning trailers
- Carrier Management: Liaising with overseas agents in Spain and Portugal
- Customer Service: Acting as a key point of contact for clients, offering "straight-talking" service, and providing tailored logistics solutions
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensuring all shipments comply with UK/EU customs regulations, including dangerous goods if necessary.
- Operational Efficiency: Identifying opportunities to improve routes and reduce costs for clients
Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience in road freight forwarding, particularly with EU routes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Expertise in road freight legislation and customs processes
- A proactive approach to problem solving
- A commercially driven mindset
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Hours: Monday to Friday 37 hours per week
Renumeration and Benefits
- Basic salary of £35,000 - £40,000
