DBR Group, acting as a Recruitment Business, are recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver & Installer to work at our client who are a household name in the Driving Industry, in Middleton. Our client has over 65 years of experience in logistics and understand what it takes to form a successful partnership.

This role is a temporary to permanent position. Reporting to: Transport Manager

Summary: The Driver Installer will deliver, install and collect vending machines and ensure customers' orders are handled safely and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Deliver, Install, and collect vending machines.
  • Ensuring that deliveries and installs are made on time and in accordance with the delivery schedule.
  • To ensure all legislation that is applicable to the operation of the company vehicle, including all driver related matters (hours, speed etc) is complied with.
  • Safely load and unload items from the vehicle at sites, warehouses, or customer locations.
  • Lift and handle items safely and efficiently, adhering to safety guidelines and using lifting aids where necessary.
  • Complete all relative customer paperwork promptly and accurately.
  • Confirm items for delivery against dispatch lists to verify accuracy and prevent errors.
  • To act as a positive ambassador for Howard Tenens when visiting customers premises both in appearance (condition of vehicle, wearing of uniform) and attitude.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
  • Ensure that all company policies are complied with, including those that relate to H&S.
  • Report immediately any breach of security, emergencies, or accidents.
  • Responsible for highlighting any potential quality issues, including hygiene and damage issues to your manager.
  • Completion of necessary process control and quality documented records, promptly (QC checks).
  • Other operational tasks as directed/requested by operational staff.
  • Spending nights away in hotels depending on location of our routes.

Requirements:

  • Current and up to date CPC
  • Current Digital Tachograph Card
  • Operate Class 2 vehicles (Category C)
  • Minimum 2 years driving experience
  • A good solid awareness of the law relating to driver's hours regulations and tachographs
  • UK road network essential
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and extremely reliable
  • You will have good communication skills, both customer and office and able to work using own initiative
  • Awareness of Health & Safety

Hours: Mon to Fri - Start time 06:00, 48 hours per week, unpaid 45 min break

Remuneration: Salary Details - Cat C -£32,394.71 + overtime; Salary Details - Cat C+E -£34,360.34 + overtime
