DBR Group, acting as a Recruitment Business, are recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver Tramping/Nights-Out to work at our client who are a household name in the Driving Industry, in Bolton, Manchester. Our client is a long-term small family business and have been in road haulage since the late 1940s and are very well established. They are based in Bolton and currently have 5 drivers in their team. This role is a temporary ongoing position.
The Job
- Working for a well-recognised road haulage company.
- Little to no handball work, 95% of their work is to Regional Distribution Centres nationwide.
- Basic contracted hours are 40 hours plus overtime (usually between 15-20).
- Monday to Friday.
- 3 to 4 night-outs per week.
- Night out rate is £26 per night-out.
- Brand new Sleeper Cab vehicle (fridge and all up to date facilities).
- You are paid a minimum of 8 hours per shift.
- Uniform is provided.
Key Skills Required
- Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence Entitlement.
- In Date CPC Card and Tacho Card.
- Physically fit and able to carry out the role.
- Excellent Geographical knowledge.
- Excellent Communication skills.
- Excellent Customer service skills.
- A sound understanding of the WTD and Drivers hours rules.
The Pay (PAYE)
- Hourly Rate: £16.00 to £24.00 per hour.
- Night Out Payment: £26.00 per night as a paid expense.
