We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and proactive Game Host to join our team at Clue HQ Kingston. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, can stay calm under pressure, and is happy to take responsibility for both customer experience and the smooth running of the venue. You will be responsible for hosting escape room games, managing customers, supporting staff, and ensuring the venue is clean, safe, and running efficiently. Weekend and holiday availability is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and deliver clear, engaging pre-game briefings
- Host and monitor escape room games using our computer systems
- Provide hints and guidance during games via the control screen
- Ensure customers have a fun, safe, and memorable experience
- Reset escape rooms between games and prepare rooms on time
- Carry out cleaning duties, including game rooms, control areas, and public spaces
- Identify and troubleshoot minor technical or gameplay issues during games
- Carry out basic maintenance and fixture tasks where possible (e.g. props, locks, batteries, simple repairs)
- Escalate any major issues to management when required
- Support team members and help ensure everyone is completing their duties
- Follow all company procedures, safety rules, and hosting guidelines
Skills & Experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- Comfortable using computers and technology
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic fixture or maintenance knowledge is a strong advantage (but not essential)
- No previous escape room experience required — full training will be provided
