The position is based in London, offering an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic, international team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of your kitchen section, ensuring consistent, high-quality food preparation and presentation.
- Mentor and guide Commis Chefs to maintain quality standards and adherence to recipes.
- Prepare dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your section, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate closely with other kitchen sections and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service and communication.
- Monitor food costs, control portions, and minimize waste to meet budgetary targets.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure every dish meets standards before service.
- Oversee shift operations, coordinate tasks, and manage workflow during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong skills in food preparation, recipe adherence, and presentation.
- Ability to mentor and lead junior chefs to maintain high standards.
- Good organizational skills for managing inventory and stock.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations and commitment to cleanliness.
- Excellent teamwork and communication with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
