Looking for an experienced mechanical engineering professional responsible for delivering complex engineering work packages within a highly regulated environment. The role focuses on providing robust, fit-for-purpose mechanical design solutions, supporting project delivery to cost and schedule, and acting as a technical authority within a specialist engineering area.
What you will be doing:
- Delivering mechanical engineering designs and technical solutions for complex systems and equipment
- Producing, reviewing and approving engineering calculations, drawings, reports and design documentation
- Applying relevant engineering standards, regulations and safety requirements throughout the design lifecycle
- Identifying, assessing and resolving technical issues, risks and design changes
- Supporting project planning, delivery and stakeholder communication
- Providing technical guidance, mentoring and support to less experienced engineers
- Contributing to safety assessments, design substantiation and assurance activities
- Maintaining configuration control and design integrity across project phases
Formal qualifications or training:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status (or actively working towards professional registration)
- Ongoing professional development aligned with relevant engineering standards and regulations
