Role Summary As a Programme Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of complex programmes across the UK nuclear sector, managing multiple interconnected projects from inception through to completion.
Working closely with our clients, technical specialists and delivery teams, you will provide strategic leadership, ensuring programmes are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
What You Will Be Doing Leading the planning, governance and delivery of complex nuclear programmes comprising multiple projects and workstreams.
Managing programme schedules, budgets, risks, opportunities and resource requirements to achieve successful delivery.
Acting as the primary interface with clients, building strong, long-term relationships through high-quality delivery and trusted advice.
Providing leadership to multidisciplinary engineering, project management and consultancy teams across the programme lifecycle.
Developing and maintaining integrated programme plans, ensuring alignment between technical, commercial and delivery objectives.
Identifying programme risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies whilst proactively managing change.
Ensuring compliance with relevant nuclear industry standards, regulatory requirements and client governance processes.
Monitoring programme performance through KPIs, reporting progress to senior stakeholders and providing clear recommendations for decision-making.
Supporting business development activities by identifying opportunities for growth within existing and new client accounts.
Mentoring and developing project managers and delivery teams, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
Championing DBD's values of innovation, technical excellence and client-focused delivery.
Formal Qualifications or Training Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or another relevant technical discipline.
Significant experience delivering major programmes or portfolios within the nuclear industry or another highly regulated environment.
Demonstrable experience managing multidisciplinary teams across complex engineering or infrastructure programmes.
Strong understanding of programme governance, commercial management, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
Experience working within recognised programme or project management methodologies such as MSP, PRINCE2, APM or PMI.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organisational levels.
Experience working within UK nuclear, defence, energy or similarly regulated industries is highly desirable.
Current security clearance, or the ability to obtain appropriate clearance, may be required depending on client assignments.
