We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with a strong background in engineering and project delivery to lead complex projects within the nuclear sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while managing resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
This role requires a deep understanding of nuclear technologies, engineering design principles, regulatory environments (e.g., ONR, NRC), and strict adherence to nuclear safety and quality assurance frameworks.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead Project Delivery: Manage the end-to-end delivery of complex nuclear engineering projects, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget targets are met while maintaining strict compliance with nuclear safety and quality standards.
- Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement: Serve as the main interface with clients, regulatory bodies, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring transparent communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, maintaining robust project controls and ensuring timely resolution of challenges.
- Governance & Reporting: Provide regular project status updates to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring adherence to governance processes, change control, and performance metrics.
Formal Qualifications Or Training
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Nuclear Science, Project Management, or related technical field.
- Proven experience (5–10+ years) managing engineering or infrastructure projects in the nuclear sector or other high-integrity regulated industries (e.g., oil & gas, aerospace, defense).
- Professional project management certification preferred (e.g., PMP®, PRINCE2®, APM PMQ).
- Strong working knowledge of nuclear regulations, codes, and safety standards.
