The Opportunity
You have the opportunity to join DBD as a Founder’s Associate, supporting a range of strategic initiatives and special projects across the business. DBD is a nuclear engineering and advisory consultancy focused on design, safety and modernising engineering practices within the nuclear industry. The business has a strong presence across major UK nuclear sites and a growing international footprint. Working closely with Tom Keegan, CEO of DBD, you will support a wide range of activities across the business – from developing presentations and financial models to researching markets, shaping strategy and helping turn ideas into operational reality. This role offers exposure to how a consultancy grows and operates at senior leadership level.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting strategic initiatives and special projects across the business
- Developing presentations, analysis and financial models to support decision‑making
- Conducting market and commercial research

- Helping translate strategy into practical actions and deliverables
About You
You are curious, analytical and commercially minded, with a genuine interest in how businesses grow. You will likely have a strong academic background in business, economics, finance or a related discipline and be confident working with PowerPoint, Excel and structured analysis. An MBA, PhD or equivalent postgraduate education with a strong business or commercial focus would be advantageous, although we welcome candidates with other academic backgrounds who can demonstrate strong analytical capability and commercial awareness. You should enjoy problem solving, working at pace and taking ownership of work.
Location & Working Pattern
The role will be based primarily in our Birchwood (Warrington) office, working closely with the leadership team.
