Based in London not far from Kings Cross Train Station, DB Charles Recruitment have been working with a brilliant business seeking to hire a new permanent Electrical Estimator. The business is widely recognised within their industry of building services / construction and they have a company history spanning over 70 years accumulating in a fantastic reputation, turnover and people based success.
The role will sit within the Estimating department and be amongst 10 others in the team, with the hired individual taking the lead and charge of electrical services quotes. They will additionally play a key role in guiding and mentoring junior members of the team.
Day to day duties will include:
- Providing accurate electrical services quotes
- Managing tender & cost processes
- Reviewing tenders
- Working closely with other internal departments such as the legal & contracts team and the technical team
- Maintaining control of the costings sheet
- Site surveys
- Site investigations
- Liaising with clients
- Daily workings with estimating software
- Reporting
- Team meetings
- Mentoring
Ideally the client is looking for CV's and to interview candidates with the following skill sets:
- A solid career background in Electrical Estimating within the building services / construction industry
- Holds data centre / shell & core project experience
- Experienced working on multi million pound projects
- Strong ability to learn and work with new estimating software
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills, along with an ability to be a role model for junior members of the team
- Strong time management / deadline hitting skills
- Ideally holds a qualification ranging from a craft apprenticeship, HNC, HND, engineering degree or maybe even gained experience through an apprenticeship.
- Able to commit to a full time permanent role, which will be fully office based in London Kings Cross. The role will offer some flexibility with hybrid working in the long term.
The role will be working Monday to Friday, full time office based with working hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm and the client is very open to applications and experience, hence they can offer a salary dependent on that experience of between £70,000 to £90,000 per annum with numerous additional benefits on offer, such as:
- 23 days + bank holidays holiday allowance increasing to 26 days after 1 years service and then increasing to 31 days after 5 years service
