Warehouse Operative Job Opportunities at Refresco. Refresco, the world’s largest independent drink’s bottler and manufacturer of some of the world’s best-known brands, is currently seeking Warehouse Operatives for our factory in Nelson. Immediate start.
Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
About the role: As a Warehouse Operative, you do not need any experience as full training will be provided, but previous manufacturing, warehouse or distribution experience would be advantageous. We want to help you grow and develop your expertise. You will learn from and work with experts from a world-class drink’s manufacturer. We want this to be the start of a long Refresco career for you. At Nelson, we are a 24/7 factory. As a Warehouse Operative, you will work on a continental shift basis. If successful following a temporary appointment through our agency provision, you will then have:

What are your daily tasks as a Warehouse Operative:
- Receive, put away, pick and despatch pallets of raw materials or finished goods from our warehouses.
- Process raw materials or finished goods using our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Use Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) such as Very Narrow Aisle trucks, counterbalance, reach trucks, ride-on or Pedestrian Operated trucks.
- Undertake regular stock checks.
- Oversee returns.
- Work to minimise waste and promote recycling.
- Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.
- Work as part of a team to ensure the site is audit-ready at all times.
- Contribute to meeting team and company-wide targets.

- Have previous experience of working within a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) manufacturing environment.
- Be accurate in your daily tasks and duties, paying great attention to detail.
- Be open to learning new things such as Fork Lift Truck operation and Counterbalance training.
- Be positive and energetic, and enjoy working in a team.
- Be confident enough to put forward new ideas and suggestions.
- Be comfortable working to targets.
Licence/Certification: Counter Balance Licence (preferred), Reach Truck Licence (preferred)
