Salary: £61,376

Overtime: 1.5x of your basic salary

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts, days and nights. 24/7 shift pattern, Average of 42 hours per week

About the role: You will be an integral part of your team, ensuring the factory is kept up and running to its highest capacity, and working as part of a well-regarded, focused maintenance team. You will support both planned and reactive maintenance work throughout our factory on various state-of-the-art equipment including pallet wrappers, shrink wrappers, conveyors, check weighers, palletizers, packaging machinery, processing systems, specialist food processing machinery, silos, pumps, pipework, etc.

Daily tasks:

  • Working closely with the Engineering Team Leader, responsible for delivering a high-quality Engineering service.
  • Rapidly diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, basic control, and instrumentation faults.
  • Completing a full range of maintenance activities across the entire installed asset base within your work area.
  • Continuously working to improve performance to deliver site efficiency and performance standards.
  • Getting involved with factory improvement projects.

About you:

  • L3 engineering qualification or time served.
  • Multi-skilled background – either biased.
  • Be confident enough to put forward new ideas and suggestions.
  • Be accurate in your daily tasks and duties, paying great attention to detail.
  • Experience working on processing equipment: pipework, pumps, silos, turning equipment.
  • Further skillset overview: fault finding in panels, sensors, relays, inverters, drives, motors, pumps, pneumatics, and pipework.
