This is a Seasonal position.
Provide direct janitorial service by cleaning and maintaining the sales floor and all areas throughout the building. Works out in Lawn & Garden during the season, watering in addition to janitorial/sanitation service.
Essential Functions/Duties:- Clean all surface areas throughout the store including restrooms, break room, offices, warehouse and sales floor.
- Sweep, mop, dust, wipe, etc. areas using designated cleaners/supplies/equipment for appropriate surfaces.
- Stock restroom supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.) as needed.
- Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
- Provide deep cleaning to toilets, urinals, bathroom stalls, sinks and floor surfaces.
- Maintain a clean environment throughout the entire building.
- In season, waters plants in garden center throughout the day.
- Other duties as assigned by store management.
- Previous experience in janitorial services is preferred, not required.
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred, not required.
- Due to the physical nature of this job, you will be required to bend, stoop, kneel, stand, walk, climb, crawl, wipe, scrub, reach, push, pull, etc. and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Most duties will be less than 25 lbs of lifting.
- Must be able to use proper cleaning tools/equipment needed to perform duties.
