Responsible to Managing Director, Head of Pre-Contracts\\nJob title of those you are\\nresponsible for\\n\\nNone\\n\\nGeneral responsibility Proactively lead all internal technical design, pricing and contract matters from tender stage to adjudication and attend all Client meetings and presentations.\\n\\nSpecific responsibilities • Price all project tenders in-line with the project brief, building parameters and submitted design, ensuring Gross Profit targets are achievable\\n• Work with the Design Director and Architectural Technician on each project to\\nensure all produced designs are accurate, technically correct, deliverable, and fully\\ncosted\\n• Build effective long-term relationships with 3rd party sub-contractors, ensuring best\\nrates and pricing levels are received for all projects\\n• Accurately input pricing and scope of work details into Maris excel documentation\\nand upload to Oscar\\n• Ensure all quotations and technical designs are saved in the relevant project sub\\nfolder for ease of access by wider team\\n• Ensure all cost documentation is ready on time for pitches and pitch rehearsals\\n(both 48- and 24-hour rehearsals)\\n• Ensure pricing, programme and other required tender information is produced for\\neach tender submission in a timely fashion\\n• Work with the Design Director to ensure that all Client designs are deliverable within\\nthe allotted Client budget and programme\\n• Ensure that all Contracts are reviewed, understood, and aligned to protect the\\ninterests of Maris, seeking external legal counsel if required\\n• Ensure Maris Gross Profit margin requirements are achieved on all projects\\n• Ensure that internal handover and adjudication meetings are well structured, fully\\nattended and in strict compliance to the Maris processes\\n• Produce pre-contract programmes outlining all critical path activities required\\n• Ensure all Maris processes and procedures are followed at all stages of the project\\nlifecycle\\n• Ensure Maris design scheme compliant of Building Regulations, Planning\\nRegulations and Building Control Legislations\\n• Ensure the allocated Maris Project Management team understand the project\\nbackground, building, scope of works, pricing, timeline, and risks\\n• Adhere to all CDM requirements\\n• Comply with all company policies and procedures that relate to anti-bribery, quality, environment and health and safety\\n\\nJob Description\\nTechnical Director\\n\\nSkills / experience required • Experience of cost planning with skill set to value engineer a design.\\n\\n• A commercial pre-contract background and a good experience of office design\\nand build\\n• Detailed knowledge of the JCT\\n• Excellent presenter and listener\\n• High self-motivation, enthusiasm, and ambition\\n• Desire to succeed and positive can-do attitude\\n• Target and success driven\\n• Action taker with the ability to be in charge and manage a team
