Based at a stunning location in Henley-on-Thames, DB Charles Recruitment have been working with a brilliant business seeking to hire a permanent Bid Manager to join the team and continue contributing to the success and growth they have experienced over the last 10+ years. The business has been established for over 10+ years and in this time has seen great growth in turnover but also the size of personnel involved. They are now hoping to attract a new candidate for a Bid Manager position.
The Group business has a number of subsidiary companies involved in varying sectors such as IT, Software Development and the medical industry, offering clients a wide range of services and products across numerous channels. Most recently, the business has been successful in being nominated and winning awards for the work they have done, and they hope that working for a business with this type of reputation plus further growth to come will be an attractive proposition for future candidates.
The Bid Manager with strong writing skills will play a vital role in securing new work for the business by managing the full bids & tenders process, ensuring all deadlines are adhered to and work is completed to a very high standard. The role will involve a number of day-to-day duties including but not limited to:
- Searching & tendering for new business
- Writing full proposals
- Writing & replying to PQQ’s, SQ’s & ITT’s
- Planning, writing and replying to bids & tenders
- Submission reviews
- Searching portals for potential new future opportunities
- New content creation
- Updating & maintaining the bid library
- Deadline management
- Liaising with other internal teams
- General administration
With the diversity and importance of this position, the business is seeking candidates with the following demonstrable experience:
- Previous experience within bid/tender management & writing
- Degree graduate with a focus towards subjects such as English / Journalism / Marketing would be highly beneficial
- Copywriting experience
- Public sector bids experience would be highly advantageous
- Very driven
- Willingness to learn
- Creative
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated and disciplined; ability to cope with varying workloads and deadlines
- Ability to commit to a full-time office-based role at a stunning location in Henley-On-Thames
The role is a Monday to Friday position with hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm. The business are ideally seeking to pay a salary dependent on experience of between £40,000 to £50,000 per annum with additional bonus earnings and incentives on top. Please remember this is a full-time office-based role.
