£70,000.00 - £90,000.00 per annum + Additional Company Benefits; Based in London, not far from Kings Cross Train Station, DB Charles Recruitment is working with a brilliant business seeking to hire a new permanent Electrical Estimator. The business is widely recognised within the building services and construction industry, with a company history spanning over 70 years and a reputation for turnover and people-based success.
The role will sit within the Estimating department, among 10 others, with the hired individual taking the lead and charge of electrical services quotes and guiding and mentoring junior team members.
Day‑to‑day duties will include:
- Managing tender & cost processes
- Reviewing tenders
- Working closely with other internal departments such as the legal & contracts team and the technical team
- Maintaining control of the costings sheet
- Site investigations
- Liaising with clients
- Daily work with estimating software
- Reporting
Ideally the client is looking for CVs and to interview candidates with the following skill sets:
- A solid career background in Electrical Estimating within the building services or construction industry
- Experience working on multi‑million pound projects
- Strong ability to learn and work with new estimating software
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills, and an ability to be a role model for junior team members
- Holds a qualification ranging from a craft apprenticeship, HNC, HND, engineering degree, or similar apprenticeship experience
- Able to commit to a full‑time permanent role, fully office‑based in London Kings Cross, with flexibility for hybrid working in the long term
The role will be Monday to Friday, full‑time office‑based, with working hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The client offers a salary dependent on experience of between £70,000 and £90,000 per annum, with numerous additional benefits, such as:
- 23 days + bank holidays holiday allowance, increasing to 26 days after 1 year of service and 31 days after 5 years of service
- On‑site canteen / breakout area
