At DAZN, we don't just broadcast sport — we amplify it. We're one of the world's leading sports streaming platforms. This is a rare opportunity to lead marketing for a truly global sports product — one that spans every continent and connects with fans in every timezone. You'll have the scale of DAZN's global infrastructure behind you, and a world‑class team beneath you.

As VP Marketing for Global Football, you'll set the global strategy, lead a talented team, and work closely with partners and internal DAZN stakeholders, and regional marketing leads to ensure DAZN reaches, engages, and retains football fans at scale. You’ll be equally at home in a boardroom presenting growth strategy and in the detail of a campaign performance review. You’ll think globally but execute with local nuance, and you’ll bring the commercial rigour and creative ambition needed to make DAZN the destination for football fans worldwide. This is a high‑profile, high‑impact leadership role with visibility at the most senior levels of DAZN. If you’re a senior marketing leader who is passionate about sports, energized by global opportunities, and driven by commercial results — this is one of the most compelling roles in sports media right now.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Strategy & Leadership: Define and own the global football marketing strategy, with accountability for driving consumer acquisition, engagement, and retention worldwide. Set the vision for how propositions are positioned, messaged, and marketed to football fans globally. Act as a senior marketing partner, building collaborative and commercially aligned relationships with marketing and content teams. Represent marketing at the senior leadership level, contributing to broader DAZN business strategy and commercial roadmaps.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and inspire a small team, including DR’s comprising of a Head of CRM, Senior Marketing Manager and a Marketing Manager. Foster a high‑performance culture built on creativity, accountability, and collaboration. Set clear objectives and development pathways for each direct report, ensuring the team grows alongside the proposition. Work cross‑functionally with DAZN's regional marketing leads, creative, product, data, and commercial teams to align global strategy with local execution.
  • Acquisition & Growth: Build and execute global and local campaigns that drive subscriber and user acquisition across all key markets. Develop a deep understanding of the football fan in key markets — their behaviours, motivations, and media consumption habits — and use this to inform targeting and messaging. Identify and activate strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and media opportunities that amplify reach and drive growth. Oversee paid media strategy globally, ensuring efficient and effective investment across channels.
  • Engagement & Retention: Partner with the VP of CRM to develop world‑class lifecycle marketing programmes that maximise fan engagement and reduce churn. Champion a fan‑first approach to marketing — ensuring every touchpoint reflects the passion and culture of global football. Drive personalisation and segmentation strategies that deliver the right message to the right fan at the right time.
  • Performance & Optimisation: Own the marketing budget for global football properties on DAZN, ensuring spend is allocated effectively and delivers measurable ROI. Define and track KPIs across the full funnel — from awareness and acquisition through to engagement, retention, and lifetime value. Build a culture of testing, learning, and continuous improvement across all marketing activity. Present performance, insight, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders and partners.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Essential: Significant senior marketing leadership experience — VP, Director, or equivalent level — within a global sport, entertainment, media, or subscription business. A genuine passion for football and a deep understanding of the global football landscape — from elite club football and international tournaments to the grassroots game. Proven track record of driving consumer growth — acquisition, engagement, and retention — at scale and across multiple markets simultaneously. Experience leading and developing high‑performing marketing teams, with the ability to inspire, challenge, and grow talent. Strong command of the full marketing mix — paid media, CRM, social, content, partnerships, and owned channels. Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, including external partners at a senior level. Commercially minded with strong budget management and analytical skills — comfortable owning a P&L or significant marketing budget. Experience working in or alongside global organisations, navigating matrix structures and cross‑functional teams. Exceptional communication and executive presence — able to influence and present at the most senior levels. A “sleeve’s rolled up” approach – this is a small team so you’ll be expected to be a hands on leader who can get in the trenches with your team and hustle for results.
  • Highly Desirable: Familiarity with streaming, OTT, or subscription‑based business models. Experience marketing to diverse, international audiences across multiple languages and cultures. An existing network within the global football or sports media ecosystem. Understanding of data‑driven marketing, personalisation, and CRM best practice at scale.
