DAZN is looking for a multi-disciplined and talented hands-on Design Director to lead the global marketing design team. Based in London, this is a global role and is a key hire to help the DAZN Creative team deliver on the company’s ambitious goals. This is truly an exciting position that covers a broad range of projects – these include working on design solutions for the DAZN master brand, identity for non-live content, design on-screen packaging for programming, campaign creative, social, Key art and design around live sports events.
DAZN Creative is an in-house team responsible for bringing communications/marketing briefs to life through creating and producing innovative, visually stunning, and effective creative that drive business performance across the group globally, with the largest client being DAZN. The department is a mix of Creatives, Designers and Production staff.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Create design work of the highest standard that will excite fans and announce DAZN as the global home of premium sporting rights.
- Work closely with the Global Head of Design to come up with new and unique ideas and motivate others to do the same.
- Think across all platforms and channels, creating a simultaneously unified and tailored approach across each channel.
- Create and encourage an open and collaborative working culture – inspire, share, delegate.
- Contribute and collaborate effectively with producers, creatives, editors and other members of the creative team.
- Keep on top of your game, and a design world that is ever changing.
What You’ll Bring:
- 8+ years working at a highly respected creative agency and/or broadcaster.
- Strong portfolio of work, showing creative invention.
- In-depth experience that covers brand strategy, brand systems, animation, illustration, photography and film.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strategic thinking and approach.
- Happiest at the sharp end of production.
- Experience in managing design teams.
- A good understanding of digital products and interactive entertainment.
- Able to provide calm leadership in pressurised situations.
- Commitment to upholding high standards with impeccable attention to detail.
- Good contacts among the industry.
- Adobe Suite and Figma experience essential.
- Strong understanding of AI and an eye on future updates in the industry.
