Dayton Group Inc. (DGI) is seeking a highly motivated, qualified, and experienced Grounds Maintenance Laborer for a Government facility located in Clinton, Maryland. Grounds Maintenance Laborers are responsible for the general upkeep, landscape maintenance, general building maintenance, and beautification of the facility. The majority of work will be conducted outdoors and may be physically demanding.

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Operate equipment including lawn tractor, Z-turn mowers, push mowers, chain saws, trimmers, trucks, and forklift
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs to grounds equipment
- Maintain grass and shrubs
- Trim-remove trees as directed
- Perform minor repairs to the grounds as directed
- Use various portable tools
- Perform repairs to perimeter fence
- Maintain perimeter road
- Clear station and pond drains
- Perform furniture move orders
- Perform snow removal duties
- Work with minimal supervision
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience performing the duties listed
- Some experience as a trades helper, laborer, or any equivalent combination of training and experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Physically able to climb ladders and stairs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Should have general knowledge of weed trimmers and mowers

Location: Cheltenham, MD
Working Hours: Typical hours are Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (anticipate 40 per week). Subject to change based on season and training demands. Must be available for weekends and evening hours for snow removal.
