Overview

Daytime Healthcare are assisting a leading SEN School who are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join their team in Cranleigh, Surrey. You will be joining our multidisciplinary therapy team with an emphasis on delivering therapy through groups and individual sessions. You will ideally be compassionate and patient with a strong interest in mental health and learning disabilities in children and young people. As well as delivering therapy, you will manage and prioritise some caseloads and enjoy building good working relationships with our students, their families and your colleagues. Your role will include some supervision and monitoring of programmes delivered by our Therapy Assistants. Our team do spend some time in the classrooms as part of our successful approach to delivering some therapy while working in tandem with our education team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver therapy through groups and individual sessions as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Manage and prioritise some caseloads and build strong working relationships with students, families and colleagues.
  • Supervise and monitor programmes delivered by Therapy Assistants.
  • Spend time in classrooms as part of the approach to delivering therapy in tandem with the education team.

Qualifications

  • HCPC registered.
  • Applications welcomed from newly qualified Occupational Therapists.
  • Empathy with the needs of all students; enthusiastic, positive, conscientious, and flexible.
  • Required to complete Team Teach positive behaviour support training as part of induction before employment.
  • Driving license preferred due to the rural location.

Benefits

  • 1000 joining bonus is offered.
  • Salary range for this role is based on 37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year (full-time hours are compressed into term time plus 5 in-service training days; 39 weeks per academic year).
  • Salary is also dependent on whether you are newly qualified or an independent practitioner.
  • Hours: Mon – Thursday: 3 days per week 08:15-17:00 + 1 day per week 08:15-19:30; Friday: 08:15-16:00.
  • You will get all the school holidays off!
