Overview
Daytime Healthcare are assisting a great SEN School to recruit for permanent Teaching Assistants to join them on a permanent Team Time only basis.
Responsibilities
- Support students who may get frustrated, anxious and emotional, guiding them to manage their feelings and behaviour.
- Work within a skilled and dedicated team, receiving comprehensive training and mentoring including safeguarding, autism and positive behaviour support.
- Provide personal care for students who require assistance to stay clean and comfortable (full training provided).
Requirements
- Physical and mental resilience, a “can do” attitude.
- GCSEs in English and Mathematics (minimum).
- Opportunities for experienced Teaching Assistants.
Working Hours & Salary
School hours are 36 per week: Monday #removed#, Tuesday–Thursday 08:30–16:15 and Friday 08:30–15:45 plus thirty minutes admin time. We cannot accommodate reduced working hours per day but can accommodate less than 5 days per week.
Teaching Assistant actual salary pro‑rata is £20,224–£21,032 for 39 weeks, term time plus CPD days (£23,580–£24,521 FTE based on 36 hours over 52 weeks), rising to pro‑rata £21,851–£23,999 (£25,476–£27,981 FTE based on 36 hours over 52 weeks) for a Senior Teaching Assistant after completing the TA apprenticeship (paid for by us) and 2 years with the School.
